IRCTC saves Chennai by delivering drinking water

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation ( IRCTC ) is making efforts to delivery 1 Lakh water bottles to Chennai, to help people by providing drinking water. Currently this city is in a bad situation due floods, IRCTC is extending its help by delivering  Rail Neer Water bottles.

Regarding this CMD of IRCTC AK Manocha said that "We delivered 60,000 one-litre Rail Neer bottles as first installment to help the affected people of Chennai, who are facing one of the worst natural calamities to hit the capital city of Tamil Nadu".

Mr. Ak Manocha also said that bottles are handed over to the corporation of Chennai and we are planning to send more after assessing the requirements.

This is not the first time it did so. It also helped by delivering packed drinking water to people of Kashmir and earth quake victims in Nepal in the past.

IRCTC being one of the largest PSU (Public Sector Unit) has five Rail Neer  Plants.

Danapur Bihar
Palur Chennai
Ambernath Maharashtra
Amethi Uttar Pradesh

All the combined cities have a combined capacity of 6.8 lakh litre of packaged drinking water a day.
