How to Get Passport in 10 Days in India [Complete Guide]

Good news to all passport appliers now you can get passport in 10 days. Yes, it’s true you can have your genuine Passport in ten days. Now here we are going to provide you the simple step-by-step guide to get your passport in 10 days with your Aadhar Card. Don’t get surprised, you read it right if you have Aadhar card you can have your passport just in ten days.

The best thing about applying for passport online is there won’t be any broker or agents. So the chances of getting cheated will be low.

As the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has decided to link Aadhaar card as identification of the applicant and on the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) database for validation of his/her criminal antecedents. The simple police verification program searches to solve the issues brought from time to time prior police verification and consequent delay in issuance of passports. But in the new format the applicant would apply online, he/she only needs to attach Aadhar card as the main address and identity proof.

Register at Passport Seva Portal:

  1. Go to Passport Seva Portal (Click Here), now register yourself. 
  2. If you are new user, click on “Register Now” and fill in the details like your ‘Passport Kendra, DOB and email ID’. 
  3. You will receive your login ID on your registered email ID. After that you will be redirected to the home page.
  1. Now jump into your registered email ID and you will receive an email from passport seva.
  2. Click on that email and you will find a link, click on it to activate your account. Now login through your Username and Password.
  3. After that click on the link “Apply for Fresh Passport” or “Re-issue of Passport”. You will get two options, click on the second option to fill the application form online.

Choose Your Option: 

If you are applying for passport for the first time, click on “Apply for Fresh Passport” link. After that you have to fill the some forms. Make sure to enter each and everything accurately, so take your time and read them carefully. Remember if once passport process fails, it will takes a lot of time to reapply.

Fill in the family details:

After you have filled in the details, save it. By using username and password, you can access your saved data at any time. In the next page, fill your family details. Before moving to next page, save it and in the next page you have to provide address, save it too. Afterwards provide your emergency contact details.

Pay and Schedule Appointment:

In “View saved/Submitted Applications” page, click on Pay and Schedule Appointment to fix your appointment time. After submitting the form you can make online payment through your debit, credit or internet banking.

Application receipt Printout:

After completion of all the process, click on Appointment Receipt to get the printout. This application receipt contains your application reference number and appointment number.
Carry required original documents to Passport Seva Kendra. And after completion of all the procedures at Seva Kendra, you will receive your passport at home. You can also take its copy online.
